On February 18, The Sheridan School of Business Accounting Student Association will host, with the Sheridan Student Union, a Mardi Gras themed pub night in The ConneXion. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to subsidize the costs of the many activities that Accounting students provide for the community. The Accounting students have numerous donations from local merchants to be given away to thank the supporters who purchase tickets to the event.
The Sheridan School of Business Accounting program students in Tax 1 and Tax 2 attended the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program workshop sponsored by the Canada Revenue Agency to prepare for the upcoming Tax Preparation Clinics where Sheridan students will have the opportunity to have their 2009 tax returns prepared for free by our volunteers. An experiential learning event!
Student sign-up for the Tax Clinics will be held on Feb 17, 19 & 22, 10:30 – 2:00, near the Tim Hortons by the Learning Commons. Sign-up for the tax clinic is mandatory to allow for the fair allocation of student tax preparation time.
